MIA Flies Into Cocoa Runners

With Valentine’s Day, Fairtrade Fortnight and Easter all on the horizon, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our 6-strong selection of MIA chocolate bars in Cocoa Runners – www.cocoarunners.com.

Founded by Spencer Hyman and Simon Palethorpe, Cocoa Runners have been responsible for driving much of the interest in quality chocolate and starting the real chocolate revolution in the UK.

Cocoa Runners source the finest bars from around the world and believes that the best chocolate is made when the focus is on hand crafting the flavour from the individual beans, while adding and removing as little as possible.

The company’s eclectic chocolate portfolio, subscription boxes, gifts, events and multiple appearances on Sunday Brunch have been key in helping to ignite the UK’s passion for small producers, single origin cacao and the bean-to-bar philosophy.

Spencer Hyman, company founder, said:

“Each year we try over a thousand bars from hundreds of artisan chocolate makers and only the best make it into our portfolio. The team was incredibly impressed with the layers of flavour and taste quality the MIA range offered and with its ‘Made In Africa’ philosophy plus Madagascan provenance, we are delighted to be one of the first to get hold of the bars.”

For those interested in delving into the world of chocolate, look out for Cocoa Runners sell-out discovery events taking place in London.

The next ‘Welcome To The Revolution’ event will be running on the 6th March at Prufrock Coffee, 23-25 Leather Lane, London, EC1N 7TE, and we’re delighted to announce that the MIA bars will making their debut.
